Board of Directors

Growing up in a household with three brothers and as the only girl, I had to work just as hard the boys.  My parents instilled education up front, along with a strong work ethic so early that upon graduating High School, I decided to go to college to be an engineer, the first of the family.   When I finished I felt I had accomplished so much, but I also realized that my situation was not the norm.  My parents are still married, and  I have a support system that I could always depend on.  Becoming a member of Borrowed Hope gives me the opportunity to directly become a part of the HOPE that could help inspire a young man or woman to reach his or her goals, dreams, and aspirations.  I know from my own experiences how important it is to have multiple levels of people surrounding you and providing you with the encouragement needed to keep going, and this is what Borrowed Hope is here to do for our youth.  The phrase "it takes a village" will always be relevant when it comes to guiding our youth in the right direction!

Education is the key to success. Those are the words my mother had taped to her graduation cap during her college graduation. After leaving college 15+ years earlier to start a family, she made sure to go back and finish as she knew how important it would be for her kids. From a young age my mother stressed the importance of an education and as a result I am, where I am today. I have been fortunate enough to have several people coach, mentor and provide me with the tools I needed to get where I am today. As a member of the Borrowed Hope board, my goal is to provide young people, with the same coaching, mentoring I received throughout my life, to help them to understand the importance of education and to provide them with the tools they need to be successful adults.

When a child is born they do not get to choose their level of exposure to information, ideas, people and places.  As they get older, many of those things may seem impossible to obtain.  through my affiliations, being a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC. since 2009 and my role as trustee and teacher at my church, I have been fortunate to instill hope and provide guidance in the lives of young adults and teens who felt the burdens of their limitations.  The knowledge gained from my affiliations enabled me to assist those in my path from budgeting, life skills, self-marketing and everything in between.  My experiences propelled me to be relatable and understanding to various circumstances while also recognizing the power of stability in relation to one's level of exposure.

Before joining Borrowed Hope INC in 2020, I studied Liberal Arts at Ocean County College after I worked 10 years for a diverse range of organizations and healthcare facilities.  Where I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge in healthcare as well as direct support.  I found my passion to advocate for those who couldn't advocate for themselves or just simply needed that extra push.  As the secretary I will help you navigate through the opportunities we have and answer any question you may have regarding our program.  I am here for YOU! satisfaction.
